FALLOPIA AUBERTII.
Formerly Polygonum. ‘Russian Vine’, ‘Mile a Minute Plant’. Extremely
vigorous. The mass of blossom towards autumn is spectacular, and
the plant is useful for covering unsightly buildings, and clothing

HUMULUS LUPULUS
AUREUS.
Golden Hop. A perennial climber dying down each winter, but climbing
rapidly each year with foliage turning from lime green to gold. It can
reach about 15ft. Z6
HYDRANGEA
PETIOLARIS.
Climbing Hydrangea. Vigorous woody clinging climber. Dark green shiny
foliage turning yellow in autumn. Heads of white flowers up to 10in
across in summer. Up to 30ft. Z6.
LATHYRUS LATIFOLIUS.
Perennial sweet pea. An herbaceous climber, with blue green leaves and
dark pink flowers from summer to early autumn. Will climb to about 6ft.

PARTHENOCISSUS
HENRYANA.
Palm like five lobed dark green leaves with prominent white veins, which
turn bright red in autumn. 20ft. Z8 borderline.
VITIS COIGNETIAE.
An extremely vigorous vine, grown mainly for its autumn colour, which
will decorate a large wall, cover an extensive bank, or climb a big
tree. The leaves can reach 12” across with a crinkly surface and brown
felt on the underside, turning from dark green to brilliant scarlet in
autumn. 30ft. Z6.
VITIS VINIFERA
PURPUREA.
Quite simply a vine with purple leaves, but there is a change from
almost pewter in the youngest leaves turning to dark purple, and in some
years almost crimson in autumn. 15 ft. Z6.
