SARCOCOCCA CONFUSA.
A low growing dense evergreen which will grow in dry soil in deep shade.
It has tapered very glossy dark green leaves and in winter has
insignificant but highly scented flowers, which are followed by glossy
black berries. 3ft x 4ft. Z7.
SPIRAEA JAPONICA.
An indispensable species of small easily grown late summer flowering
shrubs, having flat heads of numerous tiny pink flowers. There are
numerous cultivars many with coloured foliage, and many of the newer
ones are compact little plants. Z5 We offer in order of size:
‘Little Princess’; a dense mound 18” x 30”;
‘Gold Mound’; light yellow foliage 18” x 30”;
‘Shirobana’; pink flowers and white, dark green leaves
with
reddish tints 2ft x 2ft;
‘Goldflame’; foliage is constantly changing colour,
starting
with a mixture of orange and lemon turning to mid-green and
then bronze, 30” x 30”
SPIRAEA NIPPONICA ‘SNOWMOUND’.
Quite a large shrub flowering in May and June, showing an abundance of
white blossom. 6ft x 6ft. Z5.
STEPHANANDRA INCISA
CRISPA.
A small low shrub with arching branches, pretty cut light green leaves,
and tiny creamy flowers in early summer. Excellent orange red autumn
colour. 2ft x 4ft. Z5.

CHAMAEDRYS.
Wall Germander. Dwarf evergreen shrub forming a dense mass of tiny dark
green leaves, and carrying small pink flowers from early to late summer.
Can be clipped to form a dwarf hedge in a knot garden. 1ft x 1ft. Z7.
ULEX GALLII ‘MIZEN’.
A dwarf and completely prostrate form of gorse forming a dense flat
(and prickly) mat, and having the typical yellow pea like flowers from
late summer to autumn. 5” x 12”. |
