CLEMATIS ALPINA.
Single bell shaped  2” lavender blue flowers in early summer and sometimes again later, followed by fluffy seed heads up to 10ft. Z7. 

CLEMATIS APIIFOLIA.
A vigorous deciduous species for the wild garden. Similar to the native vitalba, but not nearly as invasive. Small creamy flowers Will reach 10ft to 20ft. Z7. 

CLEMATIS ARMANDII.
A desirable plant with large glossy evergreen leaves, and pure white fragrant apple blossom like flowers in spring. It needs a sheltered south or south-west facing wall, disliking cold winter winds. 15ft to 20ft. Z8. 

CLEMATIS ‘BILL MACKENZIE’.
Possibly a hybrid between orientalis and tangutica. Abundant 3” open bell shaped yellow flowers from mid-summer to late autumn, followed by fluffy seed heads. 20ft. Z7. 

CLEMATIS CIRRHOSA.
Open cup shaped 2” creamy white flowers spotted with maroon in late winter or early spring. Shining deeply cut dark green evergreen leaves. Requires a sheltered sunny spot. 10ft. Z7. 

CLEMATIS CRISPA.
A small climber needing the support of a shrub. Urn shaped lilac blue flowers with white margins are borne in summer. 6-8ft. Z7.

 CLEMATIS DURANDII.
A cross between integrifolia and Jackmanii, inheriting the beautiful indigo blooms  of the latter. Although a climber it does not cling, and needs a shrub or other support. About 8ft. Z7.

 CLEMATIS FUSCA.
An interesting oddity. The flowers are urn shaped, downy and purplish brown outside and cream inside. The plant climbs to about 6ft. Z6.

CLEMATIS INTEGRIFOLIA
An herbaceous scrambler needing support to reach about 4ft. Dangling blue bells similar to c. viticella (one of its parents) from July onwards.  Z3 

CLEMATIS JOVINIANA PRAECOX
A hybrid producing abundant small flowers, white flushed with violet.  Blooms from July into autumn.  The stems reach about 10ft dying back in winter and need help to climb.  Z4 

CLEMATIS LADAKHIANA
A member of the orientalis group. Less rampant than most of this family reaching 6ft to 10ft. Narrow lance shaped leaves. The flowers appear in September and are orange yellow spotted or flushed with red. Z6. 

CLEMATIS MACROPETALA
An extremely useful and easy species. Violet -blue 2” semi-double bell shaped flowers appear repeatedly from spring to early winter. 8ft. Z6. 

CLEMATIS MONTANA RUBENS VEITCH’S FORM
A fine form with purplish stems, bronze foliage and reddish-pink 1" flowers.  Spring flowering.  About 25ft.  Z6 

CLEMATIS MONTANA ‘TETRA ROSE’
Very vigorous variety, with dark almost purplish leaves and 2” mauve pink flowers in late spring and early summer. Up to 30ft x 10ft. Z6. 

CLEMATIS POTANINII
Late flowering climber to about 15ft. Saucer shaped 2” white flowers freely produced from mid-summer to autumn. Z7.

 CLEMATIS REHDERIANA
A large but charming species, putting on a fine show of flowers which resemble large cowslips and are sweetly scented. Will reach up to 20ft. Z6.

 CLEMATIS SERRATIFOLIA
An attractive late flowering clematis in the orientalis group. Flowers star shaped, creamy yellow, followed by fluffy seedheads. About 10ft. Z6.

 CLEMATIS TANGUTICA
A vigorous late flowering climber with bell shaped clear yellow flowers from mid-summer to late autumn, followed by fluffy seedheads. 15ft x 6ft. Z6.
