ACORUS GRAMINEUS ‘OGON’.

Rich  glossy evergreen predominantly yellow leaves with green central stripe  arranged in fans. Prefers moist soil.  Very useful.  6” X  12”. Z5.

 ACORUS GRAMINEUS VARIEGATA.

As above but dark green with a central cream stripe. Z5. 

ANDROPOGON GERARDII.

Big bluestem. Blue-green leaves turn purple in autumn then reddish gold. 5ft  stems  bear  red-purple flowers in  early and  mid-summer 6ft x 2ft. Good winter impact. Z4.

 ALOPECURUS PRATENSIS VARIEGATUS

Golden meadow foxtail.  Among the most colourful yellow leaved grasses.  Foliage to 1ft, flowers to 2ft.  Tolerates a wide range of conditions.  Best in full sun. Z4

 BOUTELOA GRACILIS.

Small upright light green clump to 12”. Curious brush like flowers held horizontally, purple red turning to chocolate brown, June to September. Well drained soil. Very hardy and drought tolerant.Z3.

 BRIZA MEDIA.

Trembling grass, Quaking grass. Leaves of no particular interest, beautiful flowers in summer, which are good for drying. 2ft x 1ft. Z5.
