DESCHAMPSIA CESPITOSA ‘GOLDTAU’.

Tussock forming evergreen with rough mid-green leaves reaching 2ft  with arching loose panicles of reddish-brown flowers which age to golden yellow reaching 3ft. Z4.

DESCHAMPSIA CAESPITOSA’ NORTHERN LIGHTS’.

A dramatic variegated form.  The leaves have white longitudinal stripes. Light airy flowers in June and July. 10”. Z4

ELYMUS MAGELLANICUS.

Tufted clump former with the most intense blue foliage of all grasses, making other blue grasses appear dull. It is not invasive unlike Leymus arenarius.  Semi evergreen. 2ft. x 2ft.  Z6. 

ERAGROSTIS SPECTABILIS.

Slightly coarse floppy strap like foliage redeemed by volumes of fine textured flowers like purple clouds hovering above the ground. 2ft x 2ft. Z5. 

FESTUCA AMETHYSTINA

Dense tussock-forming evergreen grass, with extremely fine, soft blue-green leaves; delicate flowers with a violet tinge.  12”x10” Z5. 

FESTUCA ESKIA

Very fine-leaved, soft green.  A dense hummock about 8”x 8”. Z5. 

FESTUCA GLAUCA ‘ BLUE FOX’

Fine, bright blue foliage forming a small, dense tuft.  9”x9”. Well drained soil. Z5. 

FESTUCA GLAUCA ‘ELIJAH BLUE’.

Probably the best blue festuca. A good silver-blue and possibly more durable than others. 9” x 9”. Z5.
